BM2 Nears Complation

CJmac schreibt "I'm currently testing BM2 at my website. This is the second dynamic SQL phpnuke banner menu in our new series. Bug testing and final touchups should be completed today and the menu will be available for download on 5/16/04.
This banner menu that will load a .jpg file as the logo background and a .swf (flash,swish,textosterone,etc) file for a running advertisement just below the slide out menus. It lists current connections as read in the mx_users table and lists by IP if the user is anonymous. It also reads the mx_modules table for a main menu right from the movie. If the admin changes his/her settings in their modules section of their nuke admin panel, the menu simply updates itself!
If you preview the movie, you will see the transarent menu backgrounds similar to the first banner menu. Today I will code these as dynamically loaded images with a tranparency applied so users can also personalize these as well. Once I get the dynamic sprites in place, the menu will be finished. This will make ALL space other than the menus themselves user defined.
Do you need Swishmax to use it?No you don't.
Anything that exports as flash can be used to make your advertisement. As long as you make it the correct size, it will load! So stop by and see our running example to better understand this new menu.
Why waste space on a static banner! Nuke it up!

SwishMax Member Webs Block

This way general users would not have to sift through pages in the memberlist and would have valid nuke links right at their fingertips. What I ended up with is a Swishmax (swf) block that will read your mx_users table, filter out incomplete addies and list the usernames as a menu that will fire up their site in a new window. This movie is 140x400 and will load a dynamic background image for users to match their theme. As usual, there will be variations of the main swf in our Update section.
An Install Guide will be added for this block.

BM1 - A dynamic SwishMax SQL Banner Menu

The background is a dynamically loaded, user defined .swf and this is where you can really go nuts. It's the biggest chunk of real estate in this puppy! It also loads an external .swf for use as center space advertising or whatever the admin wishes!

SwishMax SQL Main Menu w/User Extras

To put my movie where my mouth is, I have a new download posted called S-140. It's a pretty good example of where this little text tool can take you. It's SQL based right from your nuke tables and will pull in all the graphics externally so users can completely do it up to match their current theme with a few simple graphics.

Flash RSS Center Block

We just ported over a Flash-DB RSS reader to phpnuke.

This center block will allow users to view news feeds from your nuke site. It is a ported Flash-DB open source movie with a few twists. Users can define the background by loading a custom .jpg and load an external .swf movie in the lower right in case they cannot edit the source code. This allows anyone to use this as a block. It also has an admin panel to add new feeds and categories. There are 2 versions available. A 700 pixel wide version for admins who do not use right side blocks and a 550 pixel wide version for those who do.

The download includes ALL source code as it is a port. All backside files as well as the source code for the .jpg (png) and also a textosterone source file (.txo) which we used as the lower movie are included. We also exported the lower movie we used as flash source code in case you do not have Textosterone.
You can view it live at our site and it is now available to all registered users.
